Shell Vacations Club actively supports charitable activities in communities where our employees live and work. We are committed to help solve the unique problems close to the hearts of our associates and believe it is important to give back by contributing and improving the quality of life in our communities.

Shell Vacations' company-wide charitable giving campaign is called SVCares (Community Awareness Raised by Employees of Shell Vacations). SVCares is a further extension of our commitment to enriching the lives of others. Through SVCares , Shell Vacation employees within each region chose a charity that focused on the issues and causes that were important in their own neighborhood. As a result, employees are empowered to determine how to best support their charity of choice. Each region will support their charity through financial contributions, in-kind donations, and/or volunteerism.

One of our charities of choice for our Corporate and California Region is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Granting these wishes not only provides a brief respite from day-to-day medical concerns, but also reminds a child that anything is possible – even the future. Since 1980, they have assisted over 164,000 children in fulfilling wishes that enrich and empower lives. The Make A Wish foundation focuses on one primary goal: to provide every eligible child with the opportunity to have a magical wish experience.

One of our Corporate international charities of choice is Christel House International.

For ten years, Christel House International has been helping children around the world break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient, contributing members of their societies. They have established learning centers that provide full academic support, health and wellness programs, and academic scholarships for post-graduate study to children from impoverished international and national communities. The world changes drastically for the children who attend a Christel House learning academy – they are surrounded by love and encouragement while their inherent skills and talents are fostered through education, the arts, recreation, and a host of other programs.

One of our corporate charities of choice is Community Partners.

Shell Vacations LLC is proud to be a Platinum sponsor for the Annual Community Partners Autism Fund golf tournament in July 2009. Community Partners is a New Hampshire based charity that provides a wide array of services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Their Family Support Program is responsible for providing flexible support to families who have an autistic child living at home.

One of the charities of choice of Carriage Hills Resort and Carriage Ridge Resort in Barrie, Canada is The Women & Children's Shelter.

The Women & Children's Shelter, in Barrie Ontario, is a registered non-profit charity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and staffed by trained professionals. All services are free of charge and confidential. Although partially funded by the Ministry of Community and Social services, the Shelter depends heavily on fund raising and private donations. The Shelter has provided a safe haven for almost 10,000 Barrie women and children since its inception in 1981, along with counseling, compassion, and encouragement to those women who need to make a life-altering change in their environment.

One of the charities of choice of our Arizona Region is the Child Crisis Nursery.

The Child Crisis Nursery mission is to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect by providing protection, support and opportunities to troubled families and their children. Orange Tree has worked with this charity for seven years, and now the entire Arizona Region is included in efforts to support this worthwhile organization.

One of the charities of choice of Desert Rose in Las Vegas, Nevada is Safe Nest.

Safe Nest assists families to break the cycle of domestic violence by offering confidential shelter, court advocacy and counseling. Financial support makes it possible to assist these families through the most difficult times of their lives. Safe Nest strives to be the leading advocate in promoting the eradication of domestic violence to individuals experiencing domestic violence, while maintaining the highest respect and dignity for our clients.

One of the charities of choice of our Hawaii Region is the Annual Visitor Charity Walk.

The Annual Visitor Charity Walk which raises money for a multitude of Hawaii charities including United Way Hawaii, Catholic Charities, Foster Family, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Mercy Corps and Hospice Net. The Charity Walk is a statewide event that occurs on Oahu, Maui, the Big Island and Kauai on the 3rd Saturday in May.
